FOUND Africa Technology

About us

We train young Africans, verify what they learn, and put it to work.

FOUND Africa Technology exists to close the youth employment gap in Africa. We train young Africans in high-demand digital skills, verify every skill they earn, and connect them to paid projects, placements and seed funding.

Why FOUND exists

Africa has the youngest workforce on earth and the widest gap between the skills young people are told to get and the work that is actually available. Millions of capable young people finish school, collect certificates nobody checks, and then find that no employer can tell the difference between a real skill and a claimed one.

FOUND was established to close that gap from both ends. On one side we give young people a free, structured route through digital skills that employers genuinely hire for, built on courses that are already free and already respected. On the other side we make the result legible: every skill on an officer's profile carries an issuer and an issuance date, and every placement, paid project and funded pitch is logged against the same record.

The result is a talent pool an employer can trust on sight, and a route into paid digital work that costs a young person nothing but effort.

The organisation

FOUND Africa Technology is a registered technology and workforce development organisation headquartered in Nigeria, with an operating presence in Newark, Delaware, USA.

Leadership and teams

FOUND is led by a team of technology operators, educators and talent-development professionals working on pan-African economic empowerment. The programme team runs training and verification; a placement team runs employer briefs, trials and conversions; a community team runs the state networks, forums and competitions.

What we do, in one line

Train young Africans in digital skills, verify every credential they earn, then connect them to placements, paid projects, competitions and seed funding.

How we verify — and why the numbers here are real

Every figure published on this website is computed from our own records at the moment the page is served. Nothing on this site is a rounded marketing estimate. Here is the chain that produces those records.

  1. 1

    Apply and get verified

Every applicant supplies real contact details and identity information. Officers are identity-verified before their profile is counted as verified anywhere on this site.

  2. 2

    Get an official identity

Verified officers receive a FOUND officer ID and an official work email, so employers can reach them through a channel we control.

  3. 3

Earn a credential, not a claim

Each completed course is submitted with its certificate. We check the issuer and the issuance date, then store it as a record. Unverified submissions never count.

  4. 4

    Log the outcome

Placements, paid projects and funded pitches are recorded against the same profile, with the date and value. The counters on this site are those records, not estimates.

Where we operate

Our primary footprint is Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa. Because officers work remote-first, an officer in one country routinely serves a client in another, and applications reach us from across the continent.

Partnerships and curriculum alignment

Google Digital Skills for Africa

The core curriculum every officer works through is built on Google's free, publicly available digital skills courses for Africa, plus Google Workspace and applied AI foundations. Officers complete the courses at the source and submit the certificate; we verify it before it appears on their record.

Regional technology hubs and universities

Officers are organised into state and campus networks. Hubs and institutions use those networks to reach cohorts of verified, work-ready young people in their own city.

Employers and enterprise partners

Companies brief us on a role or project. We dispatch it to officers whose verified record matches, run a trial, and hand over the ones who perform.

Development partners and public programmes

NGOs and public programmes use officer networks for delivery capacity on the ground — outreach, digitisation, field data and local storytelling.
