For partners and employers

Verified African digital talent — with the receipts attached.

Every officer below has passed identity verification. Every skill is a record with an issuer, a source and an issuance date — not a line on a CV. Every placement, paid project and funded pitch is logged against the same profile.

What officers can actually do

One curriculum, four ways to put it to work.

Every officer works through the same verified curriculum: Google Digital Skills for Africa, Google Workspace, and a foundation in applied AI — including building and shipping a working web app. Here is what that means depending on why you are hiring.

Growth, marketing and sales teams

You need someone who can find customers online and keep them engaged.

  • Set up and run search, display and video advertising campaigns end to end
  • Make a business findable — search visibility, listings and local discovery
  • Build and publish a business website or storefront, then keep it updated

Employers hiring entry-level and remote roles

You need a dependable first-job hire who can operate in a modern workplace from day one.

  • Work fluently across Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar and shared workspaces
  • Write clear business communication — briefs, updates, client emails, reports
  • Present and pitch in public, in person or on a call

Startups and product teams working with AI

You need people who are already comfortable building with AI tools, not just talking about them.

  • Use AI assistants day to day for research, drafting, analysis and support workflows
  • Understand what AI can and cannot do, and where a human must stay in the loop
  • Build and deploy a working web app with an AI development tool

NGOs, development partners and public programmes

You need local capacity to deliver, document and communicate a programme on the ground.

  • Run community outreach and storytelling that explains a programme clearly
  • Support small businesses and beneficiaries to get online and stay online
  • Collect, organise and report field data in shared workspaces

Each skill on an officer's profile is a record with an issuer and an issuance date, not a self-declared line on a CV. See the full course list.

How hiring actually works

No CV pile, no agency retainer, and no commitment before you have seen the work. Five steps, most of them ours.

  1. 1

    Send a brief

Role, country, headcount, skill level and whether you want a trial or a direct paid contract. Two minutes on the team builder, or an email if it is complicated.

    Same day

  2. 2

    We match on the record

We dispatch the brief to officers whose verified credentials and logged outcomes fit — not to everyone. Officers apply in one click.

    24–72 hours

  3. 3

    You get a shortlist

Each candidate arrives with their officer number, verified skills with issuer and date, and any outcomes already logged against them.

Within a week of the brief

  4. 4

    Run the trial

A 10-day pro-bono trial, scored daily against a five-point KPI scorecard so you are judging evidence rather than an interview performance.

    10 working days

  5. 5

    Convert and log

Convert the officers who average 80% or better onto a paid contract on your own terms. The placement is logged against their profile.

    Immediate

Skill levels you can ask for

Officers are grouped by how much of the curriculum they have verified and what they have already delivered. Ask for the level that matches the work, not a job title.

Foundation officer

Core curriculum verified

Has verified the digital marketing, Workspace and business communication foundations. Works confidently in Docs, Sheets, Drive and Calendar, writes clear business English, and follows basic account-security hygiene.

Best for: Support, admin, data entry, research, content assistance, community outreach.

Specialist officer

Foundation plus a verified specialisation

Adds a verified track such as online advertising, search visibility, content and storytelling, or applied AI. Can own a channel or a workstream with a brief rather than supervision.

Best for: Campaign execution, SEO and listings, social and content, AI-assisted research and drafting.

Placement-ready officer

Verified skills plus logged outcomes

Has already delivered — a completed placement, a paid project, or a funded pitch is on their record with the date and value. The strongest signal we can give you.

Best for: Roles where you need someone productive in the first fortnight, and team leads.

Ways to work with us

Trial then hire

The default. A 10-day pro-bono trial with a daily scorecard, then you convert whoever earns it onto a paid contract you own directly with the officer.

Cost: Nothing to evaluate. You pay the officer once you convert.

Direct paid contract

Skip the trial when the record is clear enough. We dispatch, you shortlist, you contract the officer on agreed terms from day one.

Cost: Whatever you and the officer agree.

Programme delivery partner

For NGOs, hubs, universities and public programmes that need a cohort rather than a hire: delivery capacity in specific states or countries, drawn from the officer networks there.

Cost: Scoped with you — email partners@foundafrica.tech.

What FOUND handles

  • Identity verification of every officer before you ever see them
  • Credential verification — issuer and issuance date checked, not taken on trust
  • Matching your brief to officers whose record actually fits
  • An official work email for each officer, on a domain we control
  • The trial scorecard structure and the record of what was scored
  • Logging the placement or project outcome against the officer's profile

What you handle

  • A clear brief: what the work is, where, and how many people
  • Day-to-day direction during the trial and afterwards
  • Scoring the trial honestly against the five-point scorecard
  • The contract and the pay once you convert an officer
  • Any tools, accounts or access the work requires

Partner questions

What does it cost to hire through FOUND?
The trial is pro-bono, so evaluating costs you nothing. Once you convert an officer you pay the officer directly on the terms you agree. For programme-scale engagements we scope the cost with you first.
How fast can I get a shortlist?
Briefs are dispatched the same day they arrive, officers typically apply within 24 to 72 hours, and most partners have a shortlist inside a week.
What if nobody works out?
You end the trial and owe nothing. Tell us what missed and we will re-dispatch the brief with the correction applied.
Can officers work remotely for a company outside Africa?
Yes. Officers are remote-first, and you can set a timezone preference on the brief so you get people whose working hours overlap yours.
How do I know a credential is genuine?
Because we do not take it on trust. Every credential on a profile was submitted with its certificate and checked against the issuer and its issuance date before it was recorded. A screenshot is not accepted.
Do you have named client references?
We publish employer testimonials only from a named contact who has agreed in writing, so the ones you see here are real or absent. Ask us on a call and we will connect you with partners who have agreed to speak to prospective employers.

Next step: tell us what you need

Use the team builder to specify the role, country, headcount and whether you want a trial or a direct paid contract — it goes straight to matching officers. Or email us and we will scope it with you.
